Petruț Florea, Production Equipment Sales Manager, ROEL:

Help your clients stand out with five-colour printing on the
Ricoh-Pro C7200X Graphic Arts Edition digital sheet-fed press. It captures attention through both
exceptional image quality and innovative applications that were previously
impossible on a digital production printer in this class.

New toner-based technology

Silver and Gold are ideal for direct mail, invitations, greeting cards, business cards, graphic illustrations, certificates, gift cards, labels and packaging, catalogues and promotional items. The press lets you create premium materials with metallic finishes, with real potential to become a more economical and efficient alternative to traditional, costly offset, embossing, lamination or foil-stamping methods. While gold metallic finishes bring elegance to printed materials, silver adds the sophisticated touch most clients look for. Combined with tactile effects, they deliver a unique impact and guarantee a luxury look for personalised items, allowing you to grow your profit margins by eliminating the need to outsource special-effect printing.

Neon yellow is used for branding, packaging, tickets, passes, graphic artwork, displays and stickers for retail spaces. Materials printed on all popular substrates can carry bold messages in brighter, more eye-catching colours. Neon yellow can also be used to personalise short runs of warning and safety materials, and when combined with other colours it creates a neon-influenced palette that opens up new creative possibilities for designers and producers alike. Neon yellow toner applications will prove vital in the following market sectors: construction, events and entertainment, retail, food and beverage, HoReCa, publishing, corporate, fashion and graphic design.

Neon pink has won over the retail, beauty, fashion, cause marketing, events and entertainment, publishing and graphic design markets, in applications such as direct mail, invitations, greeting cards, books, graphic artwork, window stickers, in-store displays and packaging. Combining neon pink toner with CMYK produces more vivid, brilliant colours that stand out instantly. From menus to point-of-sale materials announcing one-off promotions, neon pink gives your clients new ways to stand out in increasingly crowded retail spaces and achieve a better return on investment.

Clear toner
Ricoh also offers the option of printing with clear toner, which boosts the visual impact of business cards, brochures, catalogues, menus and even manuals. Clear toner adds value to printed products through the sense of depth it creates, or through unique patterns that add authenticity to certificates, tickets, gift cards, coupons and other original documents, helping to prevent them from being copied. Clear toner applications are especially well suited to events and entertainment, education, retail, food and beverage, hospitality, publishing, art galleries, beauty, fashion and graphic design.

White toner is used successfully for short runs such as invitations, graphic artwork and ornaments, and by local businesses that run frequent promotions and regularly change the graphics on their shop windows, window stickers, in-store posters and packaging. White toner can create dramatic effects on coloured, dark or opaque substrates that quickly catch customers' attention.

Invisible red – visible only under UV light – is used for VIP tickets, event accreditation, coupons, raffle tickets, entry passes, labels and various game pieces. Invisible red toner is ideal for clients who need entry-level security materials in short runs, including coupons or promotional offer prints, and it lets you add barcodes and unique identifying images without compromising the design or distracting the viewer from the main message. When prints are placed under UV light, the toner glows brightly, making authentication quick and inexpensive. Invisible red toner can also be used in marketing for special offers and discounts, while for companies and schools it can raise security levels on parking permits, ID cards or visitor badges.

Ricoh's fifth colour station is compatible with synthetic substrates and other speciality media – including soft touch – making it possible to print unique formats with outstanding image quality. Print service providers can get creative with promotional, direct mail, retail, signage and even menu applications in the following market segments: events and entertainment, retail, food and beverage, hospitality, clubs, real estate, beauty and fashion.

The new press can also print oversized applications (banners) that traditionally required an offset press, opening up new creative opportunities in the digital production of brochures, posters, catalogues, menus, direct mail, book covers and packaging. You can produce folded pieces, bi-fold and tri-fold brochures in unique formats and on textured substrates, as well as full-size materials that no longer need staples, which also reduces the environmental impact.

Ricoh invites you to unleash your creativity, attract new clients and help your existing ones stand out with innovative printing techniques that are now possible only with the fifth colour station of the Ricoh Pro C7200X.
